KAYODE BALOGUN (DJ AMBUSH): PRESIDENT, THE PWG NETWORK

"With a music career spanning over 30 years, l've worn many hats. DJ, Event Producer, Art Curator, Podcaster, Radio Personality and Host. Those talents have taken me up and down the east coast (where I'm from and have found me a home in Portland, Oregon.

I'm driven by a desire to connect with the community across all intersections, and a passion to see people enjoying themselves. Those motivations weren't clearly defined when / started my journey as a music collector at the age of 14. Creating "pause tapes" for my friends and family, I became the go to person when it came to providing music for the functions. By my senior year in high school I started collecting vinyl. My love for DJing has taken me all over, with over 30yrs of experience in nightclubs, concerts, festivals, retail locations, private and corporate events.

Having spent the last 5 years at the helm of Portland's only Black led radio station. My mission was allowed to come into its fullness as we eliminated barriers for Black and Brown creatives to engage with their communities, while sharing their stories with the world. The PWG Network is an expansion of that work."
